本周六早晨，中國外交部長王毅和來訪的日本外相岸田文雄在北京舉行了會晤。

During the opening remarks, Wang stressed that China-Japan ties must be based on respect for history, adherence to commitment, and on cooperation rather than confrontation.

在會談?wù)介_始之前的開場致辭中，王毅部長強調(diào)中日關(guān)系必須建立在尊重歷史和堅持承諾的基礎(chǔ)上，要強調(diào)合作而不是對抗。

China and Japan are neighbors, Wang said, stressing that China is willing to develop a healthy and stable relationship with Japan.

王毅部長說道，中國和日本是一衣帶水的國家，中國愿意和日本方面建立一個健康、穩(wěn)定的友好關(guān)系。

"We hope that your visit will play a positive role in actual improvement of China-Japan ties," said Wang.

王毅部長對岸田文雄說道：“我們希望你此次的來訪可以在切實提升中日雙邊關(guān)系上起到積極的作用。”

The China-Japan relations went through twists and turns in recent years, due to reasons best known by Japan, according to Wang.

王毅部長說道，近年來，中日雙邊關(guān)系經(jīng)歷了較大了反復(fù)和曲折，而這其中的原因，日本方面最清楚。

Wang said he is ready to listen to Kishida’s opinion about how to improve bilateral relations, and equally important is whether Japan will turn its words into deeds.

王毅部長說他已經(jīng)準備好了聽取岸田文雄對于如何提升中日雙邊關(guān)系的意見，而且同樣重要的是，日本方面是否會切實履行諾言。

Wang expressed sympathy to Japan over the deadly earthquakes in mid-April.

王毅部長還對4月中旬發(fā)生的熊本地震表示了同情。

Kishida is paying an official visit to China from Friday to Sunday, the first by Kishida since he took office over three years ago and a Japanese foreign minister in four-and-a-half years.

岸田文雄將從周五到周日對中國進行為期三天的正式訪問，此次訪華是岸田文雄擔(dān)任外相三年以來的首次，也是日本外相4年半以來的首次訪華。來源:英語新聞
